Question
"Do you not know that the saints will judge the world?.....Do you not know that we shall judge angels?"

Hello!
It seems as if just out of the blue Paul comes with these two verses.  In my mind I am thinking that the Lord is talking about the Millenium.
I have checked several commentaries but don't really have a clear explaination in my mind.
Can you help?

Hi Cann,
   I think that you are correct, but we cannot be dogmatic about it.   It seems that believers in the coming kingdom will be elevated to a high status in administering the kingdom.   There is no passage in the Bible that says angels will be judged...but this one, so clearly there will be a judgment of angels.   Therefore it seems likely based on Paul's statement that believers will somehow be involved when they are judged.
   Of course the point of using this as an example is that believers should be able to judge the matters of conflicts between them and not have to go to unsaved judges...if they will be judging angels in the kingdom.
   Paul knew a lot more about heaven, having been there, that we are told.   This is probably is a truth that came from his experience and knowledge of heaven when he was there.   Or, it could have simply been revealed to Him by the Lord under inspiration as he penned the Epistle.
