Question
Can a man who is divorced and has two Living wives be made a pastor of a Baptist Church???

Answer
Donna,

I know that in the Southern Baptist he would most likely not even be considered for the position. I do not know what another Baptist denomination might do. There are some that are a little more liberal about the subject. I had a Asst Pastor that had been divorced and he is still a Pastor of a church in Las Vegas. The different individual congregation has the final say in most cases. The answer to your question would be yes. I believe that a minister is called by God and God can call a man that has been divorced. If the congregation believes that the man has the calling to be a minister then they can accept him and vote to make him the pastor.
