Question
well, i am Baptist but my husband is Methodist. He was baptized as an infant and wants our son that is due in March of 2008 to follow in his footsteps. I do not agree with this but in order to keep peace I am considering allowing it. But my question to you is: If my son gets "baptized" as a newborn in a Methodist church and ceremony, does that mean that he is considered a Methodist?

Answer
Blessings and thank you for your question.

Yes, most Methodist churches would consider a child baptized in their church, a Methodist.  While Baptists don't believe in "infant" baptizism, it isn't going to hurt either.

The Most important thing is that when you child gets older, he is presented with the gospel and responds to it.
