I read your answer to this question, but I still don't get it! You, apart from Paul, taught that God's laws and commandments were done away with on the death of Jesus (Jesus seemed to teach absolutely the opposite), and who gave Paul the authority to change God's word which said that the commandments would be everlasting?

I don't know which question that I answered that you are referring to.  I have answered a lot over the years and don't remember them all.  So if you want a more detailed answer, you need to tell me when I answered the question and what the subject line was so I can look it up.

Now as a basic.  Jesus was the fulfillment of the Old Testament Law.  Jesus called Paul to be the apostle to the Gentiles.  As Baptists we believe that all of scripture comes from God.  Since Jesus called Paul and since Paul wrote most of the New Testament, then we believe that Paul's words are from God.  So God gave him the words we read in the New Testament.  

If you really want an understanding of the law and what pertains to us now, sit down and read the book of Hebrews then the book of Galatians.  Then I would be happy to answer any question you have.
