Baptists/Human clone

Question
God forbids, suppose the scientists clone a human being, will he have a soul and require salvation?

Answer
I have real doubts that they will be able to do so and have any kind of viability. They may be able to get the cells to "form" a body but it will not truly live because God does not give His glory to another and He has ordained that humans be created in His image not in the image of man thus it is not probable that "it" would have a soul.  If it did then it would indeed require salvation as the clone would inherit the same curse that the original was under thus requiring the same remedy.

Being a Sci-Fi fan, I could speculate that IF satan seeking to copy the Virgin Birth would he enter into a souless clone giving it an appearance of life?  After all, the Anti-Christ is supposed to survive a deadly wound that would be healed.  If there is no soul the body might be able to heal a wound that would kill a person only because the soul would normally be released but with the devil being the spirit and soul of that body it might be possible for him to generate the healing powers of the body and thus have a miraculous "resurrection" to mimic Christ.

Indeed, cloning would be an ideal way to raise up an army of demon possessed "men" that could be used in the Tribulation by the Anti-Christ.

Again, this is merely a speculation from a Sci-Fi viewpoint but not totally out of the realm of possibility since we are dealing with a being who likes to mock God and Christ by mimicing them in so many ways. It is the only way that the devil can accomplish anything because he has no creative power of his own so he has to copy or hijack what God has already done.

I wouldn't worry.  If it is to happen as part of God's plan, I suspect we will be somewhere in the first course of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and really won't care.

Blessings to you as you study His Word and seek His will for your life in these last days.  As Worf would say, the opportunities for service are glorious!!!
