Baptists/Fruits that prove you are saved??

Question
I recently read one of your answers about what it means to repent. Thank you! Now I understand that Jesus won't reject a man who's not sorry for all his sins or who is not willing to give them all up. Repentance is simply a change of mind where you turn to Jesus as your only hope of salvation.

But what if after you trust Jesus, you still aren't producing fruit? What if you still commit those same sins over & over? Some people may not even have a true desire to give up those sins after they get saved. Does that mean they were never saved in the first place?

Answer
Hi Brad,

THank you for these coments and this question.  If there is absolutely no change whatsoever, yes one may question if the person truely become born again in the first place.

2 Corinthians 5:17
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.

I hope that this helps.
