AboutMrs. Priscilla Lyons Expertise I have time for you. The Bible has been my guiding light for
most of the 56 years of my life. My missionary parents in Brazil kindled
a love for God`s Word by their example and their love for truth. The
Lord has blessed my husband and me with responsible, independent
children who love and serve the Lord and are our best friends. I would
enjoy discussing any subject or problem from a Biblical perspective.
Experience I help lead music in a small Southern Baptist Church. Although I rarely have the opportunity to play, I do play the bass guitar, drums, tambourine, harmonica and piano. I like Southern Gospel and praise choruses, but only know by heart the words from the hymnal, and my vocal range is half an octave lower than most music is written, but fortunately my husband transposes well and also plays by ear.
Question your last answer to Ms. June, is a joke right? you pointed out that persons sometimes get the true day of worship wrong.but failed to point out that you rnt a that good of a judge to advise on that, bcause u urself r worshipn on the first day of the week.the sabbath should be a delight the bible said so they were made perfect, something thats perfect, ask ur self this, y would there be a need to remove it? . the 10 commandment law was not given only to the nation of israel, but for mankind so that they would live in peace and would have a happy life , a day to rest(abstain from the thngs we would do regularly during the week)and devote personal worship to God n fellowship on with another and to do good aswell..in isaisha 56:4 he says we should do the things that please him and keep his ccommandment.that includes all of them, does it not?Christ came not to put n end to the laws, but to fulfill them and that tru him we might have hope for an eternal life.Christ died and the friday(preparation day) and slept tru the sabbath in the tomb and resurrected on the first day of the week.then he proceeded to complete his mission here on earth. You said that nowhere in the bible it tells us to worship on saturday, but it does say we should worship on the 7TH DAY WHICH IS THE Sabbath OF OUR LORD. NOWHERE did it say to worship on sunday the 1ST day, the day Christ resurrectd.
Answer Dear Alicia,
I'm not sure what you are referring to with Ms. June (I haven't answered any questions for a long time), but I'd like to encourage both of us to worship God every day of the week.
Jesus did fulfill the literal laws, and He wants us to obey more than the letter of the law. He wants us to rely on Him in us, to obey the spirit of the law. Not just avoid adultery, but even the lust to CONSIDER adultery. Matt. 5:27-28
Romans 14:5-6 and Col. 2:16-17 have a bearing on this subject also.
Shine for Jesus!
