Question
i have been raised between a catholic and baptist home. i enjoyed the baptist church more and as i became older i started going to a baptist church.i got saved and baptized in my new church but i still struggle with what it means to be a baptist. could you shed some light on this for me ??

Answer
Being Baptist means different things to different people. At a most basic level, it means having a voluntary faith, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, seeking to follow Jesus, looking to the Bible for spiritual guidance, being baptized by immersion, and being active in a local Baptist church.  It is, in other words, one particular expression of Christianity.  And apart from these basics, Baptists can be very diverse.
