Question
Does TRUTH have a need to DESTROY lie or does LIE have a need to DESTROY truth? Which case would be self-defence?This question was asked under the influence of alcohol and Neil Young's "Cowgirl in the Sand" with cats in the room. Is truth greater than God? WHAT ABOUT DREAMS? WHAT ABOUT PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE? WHAT ABOUT TIME AND PATIENCE AND ONE KEYBOARD KEY AT A TIME? WHAT ABOUT MILITARY GREEN FASHION? WHAT ABOUT THE COLOR PINK? WHAT ABOUT "FUN CONTROL?"
YES, THIS PARTICULAR AMERICAN UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL AND NEIL YOUNG'S "COWGIRL IN THE SAND" ASKS ABOUT "FUN CONTROL". Thank you.

Answer
Hi Joe,

Thank you for this unusual question.  I will not get into all the symbolism you mentioned.  Truth is supreme.  It does not need any validation in order to exist.  Truth simply IS.  Lies are simply perversions of the truth.  Lies are not greater than truth because they could not exist unless there was a truth to lie about.  A lie cannot destroy the truth because a truth IS, whether or not someone understands it to exist or not.

I hope that this helps you.

In Christ

Expertise

I believe that every word of the Bible is God-Breathed. This blessed book is the foundation of truth for faith and practice. If you ask this volunteer a question you will receive an answer from the Bible that is based upon a litteral, normal interpretation, taking into account the grammar and culture of the time.

I have been in the ministry almost 20 years. During this time, the Lord has used me as Senior Pastor, counsellor, youth pastor and generally in the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry.
