Baptists - RESPONSIVE READING

Expert: Rev. Stuart Woodward - 11/5/2009

Question
I AM OVER YOUTH PROGRAM THIS 5TH SUNDAY.  I AM TRYING TO GET A GOOD RESPONSIVE READING TO GO ALONG WITH THE THEME "THE BEST IS YET TO COME" 2 PETER 2:13.  CAN YOU PLEASE ASSIST ME?  MAY GOD BLESS YOU!

Answer
Hello Kendra,
I confess I do not use responsive readings very often. Not many Baptists in England do but it occurred to me that you could use the second half of Isaiah 61:3 which in the NIV reads:
1.-the oil of gladness
2.-instead of mourning
1.-and a garment of praise
2.-instead of a spirit of despair

This repeated several times at least gives a positive look forward to what God wants to do for us.
Perhaps this is of some help.
God bless you
Stuart Woodward
