QUESTION: If the sabbath day was meant to be sunday, then why doesnt the bible say so, it CLEARLY states in the bible in the 10 commandments (Exodus 20) the lord blessed and sanctified the seventh day, in which we worship and praise God. Now unless you are asian and your calendar starts on Monday, my calendar starts on sunday and the seventh day is SATURDAY, the ressurection of jesus was part of Gods plan it was not part of his instructions in which we make our own day to worship. God specifically set aside Saturday as a rest day in his 7 day week when he created the world. articles on the internet even said that CATHOLICS were the ones to CHANGE the sabbath from Saturday to sunday. NOW YOU TELL ME, IS NOT MAN CREATED BY GOD? IF HE IS, THEN WHO DO CATHOLIC LEADERS AND FOUNDERS THINK! THEY ARE, TRYING TO CHANGE THE DAY THAT GOD HIMSELF INSTRUCTED TO WORSHIP HIM AND OF COURSE THE ILLUMINATI ALSO INFILTRATED THE CATHOLIC CHURCH BY A MAN CALLED ADAM WEISPHUT BACK IN 1760. THE CATHOLIC CHURCH STARTED SUNDAY WORSHIP AND ARE PUSHING SUNDAY TO BECOME THE ONLY DAY OF WORSHIP. THE POPES OFFICIAL MITRE TITLE SAYS "VICARIUS FILII DEI" REMEMBER YOUR ROMAN NUMERALS V=5 I=1 C=100 A=0 R=0 I=1 U=5 S=0

ANSWER: Dear Anthony,
   Jesus fulfilled the letter of the law, and gives us a higher standard to fulfill the spirit of the law, perfection, which can only be done when we allow Christ in us to rule our heart, soul, and mind.  Matthew 5:17-48 and Matthew 22:37
   The Sabbath as given in the Old Testament is a sign between God and the children of Israel (Exodus 31:17).  Everyone is subject to the principle of creation--we need a day of rest after six days of work--time to honor God Who made all things in six days, and makes all things possible today (Colossians 3:16-17).
   The Old Testament clearly and plainly gave God's commands to the Jews.  It serves as a schoolmaster (with lots of "picture" examples for early human history introduction to our Creator) to show us our need (the Law can't be humanly kept perfectly) for a Savior from our sins to live in us and through us by faith. Galatians 3:24-25
   I won't argue that the antiChrist may well be a Catholic pope who claims to represent God in the flesh, but what is saddest about Catholicism is how its Church supplants the relationship God wants with each person.   
   May our lives reflect His glory (Matthew 5:16) and encourage others to entrust themselves to God before 666 comes on the scene.

QUESTION: Thanx 4 that, but how then did all sunday worshipers make sunday the holy day of God? All the text u gave me supported my point of veiw that Saturday is the sabbath day  , the bible only mentions the saturday worship.

Thanks for writing back, Anthony.  I agree with you that one shouldn't make "Sunday the holy day of God."  If you're going to keep the Law, you need to worship on Saturday.  
   Be careful about making this an issue.  Colossians 2:16-17 "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."  See also Romans 14:5-6 and Hebrews 8:5-6.
   May we rely totally on Jesus' finished work for the perfection needed to enter a perfect Heaven.  It is only when we reflect His glorious image, rather than our own image, that we fulfill our created purpose and have the intimate, appreciative, respect for God that He desires.
