The Universe
The Universe
QUESTION: Greetings Mr Madden,

My work on www.ascensionq.20fr.com is religion and science based and is a
convincing argument for the existence of an Intelligent designer. My comparisons
of the cosmic web to the human neurons and other objects in the universe are all
related to the microcosm and the macrocosm.

The cosmic web and its relation to the human neurons is astounding. According to
the European Southern Observatory (ESO), "All recent computer-simulations of the
early universe have one prediction in common: the first large-scale structures
to form in the young universe are long filaments connected at their ends in
'nodes'. The models typically look like a three-dimensional spider's web, and
resemble the neural structure of a brain." Now, astronomers have actually
detected a "universal web" - vast filaments of hot gas tracing the web have been
"seen" in the current universe. Astronomers using NASA's X-ray satellite
observatory, Chandra, "viewed" the filaments stretching for millions of light
years through space, with one passing through our own galaxy. Astronomers say
that the filamentary structures are so hot that it would generally be invisible
to optical, infrared, and radio telescopes. These invisible filaments are
detected only because higher density ordinary matter tends to accumulate and
condense in them - generating radiation which can be measured by scientists to
confirm their existence in intergalactic space.

The visible galaxies in the universe are not isolated and disconnected but are
interwoven by a filamentary web-like structure - which is the invisible dark
matter scaffolding of the universe. The web-like structure is both a signature
feature of invisible dark matter and magnetic plasma. The appearance of this web
bears an uncanny resemblance to a cross-section of the brain. (Refer: Brain vs
Universe)

But it is not only the morphology (i.e. structural aspects) of the large scale
structure of the universe which is similar to the human brain but also the
physiology (i.e. the functions). These filaments carry currents of charged
particles (ions) over large distances that generate magnetic fields - similar to
a nerve fiber. And they form circuits, just like the neural circuits in the
brain.

The high degree of connectivity is what sets the brain apart from an ordinary
computer. Connectivity is also apparent in the cosmic web. Galaxies are formed
when filaments pinch or cross each other. A nexus of filaments (including
thousands of tiny filamentary currents) will provide the connectivity for the
transfer of not only energy but information from one galactic nucleus to
another. This web-like structure of filaments and vortexes is also similar to
the acupuncture meridian system - which includes vortexes called "chakras".
According to Dr David Tansely, "The seven major chakras are formed at points
where standing lines of light (or meridians) cross each other 21 times. The 21
minor chakras are located at points where the energy strands cross 14 times."
These meridians are supported by probably thousands of other smaller filamentary
currents. This provides a significant amount of connectivity in our subtle
bodies. Similar filamentary currents in the large-scale structure of the
universe also provide a high degree of connectivity in the "cosmic brain".

Over time, tiny filamentary currents grow into large filaments as the amount of
current flowing through them increases; in others the current decreases
according to plasma dynamics. These filaments form networks that reflect the
state of the universe at a point in time. The filamentary currents therefore
appear to be able to generate the same mechanics that occurs in a brain -
enabling memories to be encoded.

Magnetic fields are generated across vast regions of space and have been
detected by astrophysicists. Electrical currents in the brain also generate
magnetic fields which can be observed by measuring the magnetic fields they
generate outside the skull in a technique called magneto-encephalography, or
MEG.

Cosmic and planetary consciousness can have a valid scientific basis once we
realize that the filaments and galaxies in space, and the web-like structure of
filaments and vortexes on Earth, can encode information. Surely, if we can
accept an electro-chemical basis for the encoding of memories, why not an
electromagnetic one in space and interpenetrating the Earth (as in computers
using neural networking technology)?

These vortexes are also seen on the back of each human head which display the
spiral of torsion fields and spiral galaxies. This and much more is present in
my work and I would appreciate a review of this material by anyone
who would like to offer feedback to my work.

I was recently asked by a neurologist Dr Joseph Rhawn to submit a scholarly
article to the Journal Of Cosmology.com concerning these ideas. Dr. Rhawn's
response to my ideas were as follows:

Greetings Larry Thomas,

Thank you for the interesting note. Back in the 1970s, when I was measuring
neurons under a powerful microscope, the gestalt was such that it was as if I
was staring into deep space at a beard of stars and galaxies. The human
hippocampus resembles some galaxies...

I am interested in the websites you refer to.

It just so happens that the December and January editions of the Journal of
Cosmology will be devoted to quantum physics, the cosmos and consciousness
(December) and the Multiverse (January), and I was planning an article... and
then I receive your very interesting note.... an anonymous note (naughty
naughty).

RJ

Greetings Larry Thomas,

Thank you for all the info. Again, the timing is perfect as I am preparing to
write a paper on quantum physics and consciousness. However, I won't begin that
task for at least another 5 weeks as I am totally overwhelmed with so many tasks
and responsibilities that I require 3 of me and a 72 hour day to get everything
done. In fact, I have a co-authored paper which I'm working on which has a
November deadline, and I've agree to coauthor a book with Chandra Wickramasinghe
and he is asking me if I've started reviewing the material he sent!

One step leads to the next (in my temporal sequential universe), and therefore,
I will not begin seriously reviewing and thinking about the material you've sent
for several more weeks, when I shift my focus to the quantum physics and
consciousness paper which has a December deadline.

Thank you again for sending me this material and the links--the timing was
perfect!
Synchronicity!!!

RJ

Greetings Larry Thomas:

Thanks again for the interesting, thought-provoking email of two days past. The
executive editors at the Journal of Cosmology, have an editorial policy which
encourages speculation and theory, but they also have a strict rule requiring
authors to have a Ph.D. and a professional affiliation with a university or
research institute.

When I read your note, I thought of the forthcoming December and January
editions whose themes include the multiverse, quantum physics, the cosmos and
consciousness.

If you were interested in preparing a scholarly article, and have a Ph.D. and a
professional affiliation, I would be pleased to pass on your name and email
address, and my recommendation, to the managing editor. If you meet their
professional criteria, they would probably send you an invitation to submit a
scholarly article.

Thank you for sending me the links and your provocative note. The timing was
perfect.

Truly,

R. Joseph, Ph.D.

Greetings Larry Thomas,

Thanks for the info.

My paper is appearing in this December's edition of the Journal of Cosmology.
http://JournalofCosmology.com

If you believe you can construct a scholarly, scientific paper, similar in
quality to those in the December edition, then contact Emily Lu, the Managing
Editor at the Journal of Cosmology.
Send her the abstract of your paper, and indicate I suggested she might consider
it.

R. Joseph, Ph.D.

I would appreciate a review of this material by you or any of your associate who can debunk its validity. Feel free to contact me with favorable or argumentative feedback to these ideas.
If there are any debates on the material please view the video references which
may clear up any skeptical thoughts that you may have about the work.

You can also download the Microsoft word version of the site which has more diagrams than the website and is the updated version of Ascension Q.

ANSWER: Larry,

Thank you for sharing your ideas with me. They are both interesting and thought provoking. However, I feel that the evidence for the God of the Bible is far greater that a mere "Intelligent Designer". Though I believe your thesis is good, it misses the most obvious question... Is there a God? Please allow me to share with you from diffent sources what I have learned about this subject...

A PRACTICAL MAN'S PROOF OF GOD

The existence of God is a subject that has occupied schools of philosophy and theology for thousands of years.  Most of the time, these debates have revolved around all kinds of assumptions and definitions.  Philosophers will spend a lifetime arguing about the meaning of a word and never really get there.  One is reminded of the college student who was asked how his philosophy class was going.  He replied that they had not done much because when the teacher tried to call roll, the kids kept arguing about whether they existed or not.

Most of us who live and work in the real world do not concern ourselves with such activities.  We realize that such discussions may have value and interest in the academic world, but the stress and pressure of day-to-day life forces us to deal with a very pragmatic way of making decisions.  If I ask you to prove to me that you have $2.00, you would show it to me.  Even in more abstract things we use common sense and practical reasoning.  If I ask you whether a certain person is honest or not, you do not flood the air with dissertations on the relative nature of honesty; you would give me evidence one way or the other.  The techniques of much of the philosophical arguments that go on would eliminate most of engineering and technology if they were applied in those fields.

The purpose of this brief study is to offer a logical, practical, pragmatic proof of the existence of God from a purely scientific perspective.  To do this, we are assuming that we exist, that there is reality, and that the matter of which we are made is real.  If you do not believe that you exist, you have bigger problems than this study will entail and you will have to look elsewhere.

THE BEGINNING

If we do exist, there are only two possible explanations as to how our existence came to be.  Either we had a beginning or we did not have a beginning.  The Bible says, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" (Genesis 1 :1).  Most atheists maintain that there was no beginning.  The idea is that matter has always existed in the form of either matter or energy; and all that has happened is that matter has been changed from form to form, but it has always been.  The Humanist Manifesto says, "Matter is self-existing and not created," and that is a concise statement of the atheist's belief.

The way we decide whether the atheist is correct or not is to see what science has discovered about this question.  The picture below on the left represents our part of the cosmos.  Each of the disk shaped objects is a galaxy like our Milky Way.  All of these galaxies are moving relative to each other.  Their movement has a very distinct pattern which causes the distance between the galaxies to get greater with every passing day.  If we had three galaxies located at positions A, B. and C in the second diagram below, and if they are located as shown, tomorrow they will be further apart.  The triangle they form will be bigger.  The day after tomorrow the triangle will be bigger yet.  We live in an expanding universe that gets bigger and bigger and bigger with every passing day.

Now let us suppose that we made time run backwards!   If we are located at a certain distance today, then yesterday we were closer together.  The day before that, we were still closer.  Ultimately, where must all the galaxies have been?  At a point!  At the beginning!  At what scientists call a singularity!  In 1999, it was discovered that the galaxies are accelerating in their expansion.  Any notion that we live in an oscillating or pulsating universe has been dispelled by this discovery.  The universe is not slowing down, but speeding up in its motion.

A second proof is seen in the energy sources that fuel the cosmos.  The picture to the right is a picture of the sun.  Like all stars, the sun generates its energy by a nuclear process known as thermonuclear fusion.  Every second that passes, the sun  compresses 564 million tons of hydrogen into 560 million tons of helium with 4 million tons of matter released as energy.  In spite of that tremendous consumption of fuel, the sun has only used up 2% of the hydrogen it had the day it came into existence.  This incredible furnace is not a process confined to the sun.  Every star in the sky generates its energy in the same way.  Throughout the cosmos there are 25 quintillion stars, each converting hydrogen into helium, thereby reducing the total amount of hydrogen in the cosmos.  Just think about it!  If everywhere in the cosmos hydrogen is being consumed and if the process has been going on forever, how much hydrogen should be left?

Suppose I attempt to drive my automobile without putting any more gas (fuel) into it.  As I drive and drive, what is eventually going to happen?  I am going to run out of gas!  If the cosmos has been here forever, we would have run out of hydrogen long ago!  The fact is, however, that the sun still has 98% of its original hydrogen.  The fact is that hydrogen is the most abundant material in the universe!  Everywhere we look in space we can see the hydrogen 21-cm line in the spectrum--a piece of light only given off by hydrogen.  This could not be unless we had a beginning!

A third scientific proof that the atheist is wrong is seen in the second law of thermodynamics.  In any closed system, things tend to become disordered.  If an automobile is driven for years and years without repair, for example, it will become so disordered that it would not run any more.  Getting old is simple conformity to the second law of thermodynamics.  In space, things also get old.  Astronomers refer to the aging process as heat death.  If the cosmos is "everything that ever was or is or ever will be," as Dr. Carl Sagan was so fond of saying, nothing could be added to it to improve its order or repair it.  Even a universe that expands and collapses and expands again forever would die because it would lose light and heat each time it expanded and rebounded.

The atheist's assertion that matter/energy is eternal is scientifically wrong.  The biblical assertion that there was a beginning is scientifically correct.

THE CAUSE

If we know the creation has a beginning, we are faced with another logical question--was the creation caused or was it not caused?  The Bible states, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."  Not only does the Bible maintain that there was a cause (a creation) but it also tells us what the cause was.  It was God. The atheist tells us that "matter is self-existing and not created."  If matter had a beginning and yet was uncaused, one must logically maintain that something would have had to come into existence out of nothing.  From empty space with no force, no matter, no energy, and no intelligence, matter would have to become existent.  Even if this could happen by some strange new process unknown to science today, there is a logical problem.

In order for matter to come out of nothing, all of our scientific laws dealing with the conservation of matter/energy would have to be wrong, invalidating all of chemistry.  All of our laws of conservation of angular momentum would have to be wrong, invalidating all of physics.  All of our laws of conservation of electric charge would have to be wrong, invalidating all of electronics and demanding that your TV set not work!  Your television set may not work, but that is not the reason!  In order to believe matter is uncaused, one has to discard known laws and principles of science.  No reasonable person is going to do this simply to maintain a personal atheistic position.

The atheist's assertion that matter is eternal is wrong.  The atheist's assertion that the universe is uncaused and selfexisting is also incorrect.  The Bible's assertion that there was a beginning which was caused is supported strongly by the available scientific evidence.

THE DESIGN

If we know that the creation had a beginning and we know that the beginning was caused, there is one last question for us to answer--what was the cause?  The Bible tells us that God was the cause.  We are further told that the God who did the causing did so with planning and reason and logic.  Romans 1:20 tells us that we can know God is "through the things he has made."  The atheist, on the other hand, will try to convince us that we are the product of chance.  Julian Huxley once said:

We are as much a product of blind forces as is the falling of a stone to earth or the ebb and flow of the tides.  We have just happened, and man was made flesh by a long series of singularly beneficial accidents.
The subject of design has been one that has been explored in many different ways.  For most of us, simply looking at our newborn child is enough to rule out chance.  Modern-day scientists like Paul Davies and Frederick Hoyle and others are raising elaborate objections to the use of chance in explaining natural phenomena.  A principle of modern science has emerged in the 1980s called "the anthropic principle."  The basic thrust of the anthropic principle is that chance is simply not a valid mechanism to explain the atom or life.  If chance is not valid, we are constrained to reject Huxley's claim and to realize that we are the product of an intelligent God.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What Was the Cause of the Beginning?

It is assumed that the reader has read the first two booklets in this series, one titled A Practical Man's Proof of God and the other A Help in Understanding What God Is.  In these two booklets, we have established that all scientific evidence supports the fact that there was a beginning, and that the beginning was caused.   We have also shown that the creator of time, space, and energy has to be something that is outside of time, space, and energy.  The nature of the cause cannot be in the three-dimensional physical world in which we live and must be outside of time to have created time.  That does not automatically mean that God is the creator, because recent studies in quantum mechanics have shown that there are many things that apparently function outside of the three-dimensional world that we are familiar with.  The purpose of this discussion is to show that a dominant property of the cause of the creation is intelligence which radiates purpose in the creation and eliminates chance as a cause of the beginning.  There are several different kinds of evidence that show the nature of intelligence in the creation.  We would like to briefly review these with the hope that the reader will pursue other writings that explore and expand each of them.

Intuitive Design

Intuitive design simply means to look at the world around you without the prejudice of science, philosophy, or religion.  It is difficult to observe the birth of a child and not be impressed with the incredible complexity of that process.  Standing on a mountain or in a spaceship and looking out at the cosmos in which we live is a wonderful, awe-inspiring act.  Snorkeling in a reef and watching the interplay of hundreds of living things is exhilarating.  Watching the incredible migrations of birds, whales, eels, turtles, caribou, and fish fills us with wonder and amazement.  All around us we see evidence of incredible intelligence, which poets and religious writers have extolled for centuries.  The Bible writers were a part of this as they said things like, "The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament sheweth His handiwork" (Psalm 19:1).  "Go to the ant, thou sluggard, consider her ways and be wise ..." (Proverbs 6:6).  "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made ..." (Romans 1:20).

Atheists and skeptics will respond that there are natural ways of explaining all of these things, and we would agree.   The problem is that the number of things that have to be explained is staggering and growing as our knowledge expands.   Offering a possible natural explanation is not a proof any more than maintaining that God did it.

Architectural Design

In the creation there are a vast number of artistic and architectural functions that radiate incredible beauty, but have no biological or physical necessity to exist.  The Fibonacci ratio, for example, exists throughout every aspect of the creation--from the shape of galaxy arms to the DNA helix.  This ratio and the spiral structures it produces offer no functional advantage--it is not stronger than other structures and it does not improve the probability of survival.  There is no reason for it to exist and especially not to exist in the thousands and thousands of different applications where it is found.

What the Fibonacci ratio and its structures do offer is incredible beauty. The whole creation is teeming with examples of beauty that are not essential to function, but have appeal to minds that can comprehend and appreciate it.  Attempting to ascribe such beauty to chance and the interpretation of the human mind falls woefully short of supplying a satisfactory explanation.

Mathematical Design

Over recent years, we have seen a number of new terms evolve to describe attempts to ask if chance is a mathematical possibility in explaining what we see in the cosmos.  Irreducible complexity and the soft anthropic principle have been heavily promoted at the start of the 21st century by all kinds of scientists and philosophers.  The problem is that, as mankind has come to understand the processes seen in nature, we realize that there are many parameters that are necessary for things to exist as we see them.  Chaos theory has helped us learn that things we thought were chaotic in many cases are just so complex that our calculating skills and tools did not allow us to see the design that is there.

How many variables are there in producing a carbon atom?  Any high school student knows that this list is huge--the gravitational coupling constant, the strong nuclear force coupling constant, the weak nuclear force coupling constant, the electromagnetic force coupling constant, the ratio of electron to proton mass, the expansion rate of the cosmos, the entropy level of the cosmos, the mass density of the universe, fine structure constant, the decay rate of a proton, just to name a few.  Similar lists can be given for the producing of a life-supporting planet or for life itself.  (Note: lists are available upon request.)

Late in the 20th century, scientists and mathematicians began to apply mathematics to these kinds of lists.  The problem is that when you have a large number of independent variables and each of them has a finite probability, the total probability becomes astronomical.  If you draw a card from a deck of cards once, the odds of getting an ace of spades is one in 52.  The odds of drawing an ace of spades twice in a row back-to-back is one in 2,704 (1/52 x 1/52).  The odds of doing it four times in a row is one in 7,311,616.  This same technique has to be applied to all of the variables necessary to produce an atom, a planet, life, etc., if the calculation is done on a purely chance basis.  The probability figures come up with numbers like one chance in ten to the 800th power!  Even famous atheists like Francis Crick and Antony Flew have agreed that chance is not a valid means of explaining these numbers.  They suggest that aliens or some other intelligence is responsible, which does not answer the question but just pushes it back one level.

Another response to our argument is to maintain that the cosmos is so vast and so old that, no matter what the odds are, it will happen.  The problem with this explanation is that, as scientists examine the cosmos, they do not find it to be infinitely old or infinitely big.  If the big bang theory is accepted in any of its versions, the cosmos is finite in both size and age.  Textbooks will estimate the number of baryons in the cosmos as ten to the 78th power, and that is not in the range of the probabilities that exist.  The cosmos is not big enough nor old enough to allow chance to be an operating mechanism.  Proposals of parallel universes and virtual existence are not supported by evidence and appear to be desperate attempts to avoid the admission of intelligence in the creation.

What About Imperfection?

I am the father of a son born blind, mentally retarded, with cerebral palsy and a form of muscular dystrophy.  For centuries philosophers and skeptics have maintained that any argument for intelligence in the cosmos is negated because of the imperfections seen in everything around us.  The miracle of the birth of a baby is blunted when that baby has enormous congenital problems.  Many people see the violence of a supernova or a volcano or earthquake as a negation of any suggestion of intelligence and design in the creation.  Some of the problem here is ignorance of the scientific purpose in things we see as violent.  Volcanos and earthquakes are positive natural forces that benefit life on earth.  Without them, new land to replace eroding continents and new minerals to sustain life would not exist.  In other words, life would not be possible.  Even hurricanes have a positive function in the overall ecosystem of this planet.  What we consider to be imperfection is sometimes a function of our ignorance.

The other variable that has to be included in this discussion is the purpose of the existence of man.  If your view of man is that he is simply the apex of evolutionary process, then finding any real purpose for our existence is problematic at best.  As pollution, war, and overpopulation create havoc on the planet, the value and justification for man's existence becomes blurred at best.

The biblical explanation of man is that man is created in the image of God.  That means man is primarily a spiritual being, not a physical one.  The Bible also indicates that God's purposes in creating man have no physical significance.  Passages like Ephesians 6:12, Ephesians 3:9-11, and Job 1 and 2 make it clear that man is a part of something far grander and more magnificent than those things that happen in space and time.  Imperfection in this physical world is far less significant if you understand that this world is not the sum total of our existence.  It is hoped that the reader will want to pursue what the nature of that existence is and how we play a significant role in the battle between good and evil.

Hope this helps.

The Universe
QUESTION: Greetings Mr Madden,

Thank you for responding to my inquiry concerning the information in my previous message and for the feedback that you've had to offer so far. I appreciate the time you have taken to review the material and for the interesting information that you referred to me as it also involves the same kind of information that I have researched. I am aware of this kind of school of thought and the statements in my work state a case for a God.

The statements I made concerning the cosmic web and the human neurons are actually from published material that reflects what I also put together. Dr. Rhawn has published a paper in the Journal of Cosmology dealing with Quantum consciousness (http://www.journalofcosmology.com/)and several others have as well concerning consciousness and the cosmos.

The programs on www.closertotruth.com, covers many of these ideas with scientist and philosophers on the topics of the cosmos, consciousness and God and it has Islamic participants as well. If you were to watch every interview that these participants are taking part in then you will hear the same kind of ideas that I present but coming straight out of their mouths.

I actually submitted my work to all of the participants on that program years ago and they are just now catching up to the ideas that are in many schools of thought. Most Quantum physicists see parallels between religion and science because the quantum world started staring back at them right before their faces.

Not to mention that the Heisenberg uncertainty principle puts a kink into the measurement problem of a sub atomic particle which is acting as a wave and a particle at the same time in different points in space time. In this scenario you can either measure the speed or the position of the particle but you can’t do both because of super positioning.

Through the understanding of Quantum mechanics and string theory a persons body is the particle and there thoughts are the wave both existing simultaneously and super positioned in multiple realities and dimensions.

It wasn't too long ago that scientist were considered crackpots or being called bananas for mentioning that there were 10 or 11 dimensions but now they are saying that string theory predicts these dimensions and now everybody is jumping on the bandwagon.

Most don't know that Einstein didn't have a degree in anything and didn't finish high school but his ideas are what science is clinging to in understanding the nature of the universe. In actuality it was Einstein’s wife who more than likely came up with the theory for relativity because she was the mathematician and the idea should have been hers.

He may of had something to do with the ideas and concepts involved in the meaning behind his theory but it wasn't until Arthur Eddington who came along to test it and even that could be only be possible because of the work that his wife did in order to get the math.

The basis of my work lies on a quantum mechanical level of thought which predicts that the consciousness that we posses is encoded onto electromagnetic waves that are themselves entangled with the electromagnetic forces that reside within the cosmic web and that our consciousness is able to ascend into it.

The quantum mechanical world is the surface of a mirror which physicists look into and found an infinite sea of possibilities and probabilities in which you are "one". This is also meaning that you are "one" individual looking into the mirror and you are also "one" with the mirror.

This is the point that I hope that most scientist “get" because it is long overdue.

In the Philebus (28d–30d), Plato argued that human beings and the universe are both composed of an elemental body and a rational soul, and that just as the human body derives from the universe's body, the human soul must derive from the universe's soul. The universe is, therefore, not only an orderly system but an intelligent organism as well.

Plato expounded this theme at greater length in the Timaeus (29d–47e), where he explained how the structure of the human being parallels that of the universe through certain correspondences in body and soul. Just as the body of the universe is spherical, and its soul is composed of orbits along which the planets wander, so too the soul of the human being is composed of orbits along which its emotions rove, and it inhabits the head, which is spherical. The rest of the human body exists merely to serve the head.

Unlike the macrocosm, which contains all things and is immortal, and hence has no need of sensory or digestive organs or limbs for locomotion, the microcosm is only a part of the whole, and its existence is threatened by the surrounding elements, so that it needs such additional parts to perceive and avoid danger and to replenish the nutrients it loses. Furthermore, the external disturbances that threaten the microcosm cause the orbits of its soul to be disrupted, throwing its emotions into disarray.

Yet when the disordered microcosm observes the heavens, it sees there the orderly motions of the planets following the orbits of the macrocosmic soul. With the aid of philosophical study, it becomes aware of the correspondence between itself and its great counterpart. Having attained this insight, the microcosm realizes that just as the universe employs reason to govern the planets; it too should employ reason to govern its emotions. In this way the microcosm overcomes its inner discord and prepares its soul for a return to the heavens from which it came.

The six degrees of separation theory, popularized by American psychologist Stanley Milgram (1967), explains that everyone is one degree removed from people they know, two degrees from people their friends know and no more than six degrees away from everyone on the planet.

Liking scientific explanations I found it interesting that Microsoft came up with the idea of using data from their Instant Messenger client to prove the theory. The researchers took an IM message between two unnamed individuals as a link and then examined how to connect 180 billion different pairs of users in the database. They found the actual number of links was 6.6, although 78 per cent of the world's population can be linked in seven steps or less. However, some took over 20 links to find a connection.

One of the researchers on the project, Eric Horvitz, said he had been shocked by the results. What we're seeing suggests there may be a social connectivity constant for humanity", he was quoted as saying by the Washington Post newspaper. "People have had this suspicion that we are really close. But we are showing on a very large scale that this idea goes beyond folklore."

The results are not only amazing but encouraging. By recognizing that we aren't that far apart may help us to accept each other and the interconnections and benefit from truly being aware and mindful.

Thank you again for your time

Answer
Larry,

You are most welcome for the small input that I made. I do hope that it does help/add to your work. But as I wrote before; "I feel that the evidence for the God of the Bible is far greater that a mere 'Intelligent Designer'". So I ask you Larry, do you have a personal relationship with the God of the Bible? Do you know Who Christ Jesus is, and what He did for you? You see, as helpful as the work you are doing may be, it still leaves one wondering about who the "Intelligent Designer" is. Jesus asked His disciples one time "Who do you say that I am?" This is the ultimate questions we will all give an account for some day. Please get back with me about this as soon as you are able.

Once again I was glad to help. God bless!
