Question
i was wondering how you would pray for a mental patient that is really obsessed with cats. she is so obsessed that she started to swallow cat shaped jewelry because she said that she felt closer to cats that way and shes a teen. she is also a lonely girl that felt that her only friend was a cat that passed away. that was how i think the obsession started. can you please give me and example prayer that you would say to her

Answer
Blessings and thank you for your question.

You want to pray for wholeness in her life so I would attack her physical, mental and spiritual well being.

Father I come to you in the name of Jesus for my friend -----.  Lord I ask that you send you Holy Spirit to this place.  May your peace fall upon this place and all who enter it.  You are the great and only God.  I ask that your dominion and power to be here with us.  Jesus promised us where two or more are gathered that He is present with them.  So I thank you for your son Jesus and his presence with us.

I lift up my friend --- to you now.  First, Lord I ask that your Holy Spirit would come and fill my sister.  May your Holy Spirit enter ever cell of her body and mind.  May you bring each cell, each organ, each part into right alignment and total healing.  May you repair that which is or may be broken or not working correctly.  May she feel a Holy fire of you and a new wellness in her life.  May you help her to see anything in her life that may be hurting her body and help her to correct it.  May you give doctors wisdom to help her with any medicines or therapies that may contribute to your healing.

Lord, I also ask that you help her mind.  That you take away any fear, worry or anxiety she has in her life.  Your word tells us that you did not give us a spirit of fear, worry or anxiety but that you gave us a spirit of love, power and of sound mind.  I ask now that your Holy Spirit help give her that sound mind now.  Lord take away anything in her mind that is not of you and bring her peace.  You are the God of peace and I ask for your peace to come upon her.  Perfect peace as your Son gave to us.  Lord I pray that you fill that space of loneliness inside of her.  God you created a hole in us that only you can fill, so I ask that you fill that space.  Help my friend realize that you never leave us or forsake us.  Remind her that you are here.  Wrap the arms of your love around her.

Father, I also ask now that you help my sister to rely on you.  I pray now in the name of Jesus and by His blood that was shed for us.  I now say to the powers of darkness that you have no claim on my friend.  I pray now in the name of Jesus that any power of the enemy that may be oppressing, weighing down or talking to my friend be now broken and cast away.  May any binding be broken and may perfect peace of Jesus now replace it.  I ask that angels be placed around my sister as a hedge of protection.  I ask now that any plan of the enemy against her be now canceled.

Lord we love you.  We know that we can never understand how fully you love us.  May your love surround my sister now.  We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus. AMEN.
