Question
Dear Sir:
I am asking your opinion about the International House of Prayer and their leader Mike Bickle.  Some say it is cult and others feel it is ok.

Answer
Dan:
I can't say I knew anything about "IHOP" before I read your question.  I did some research, went to their website and tried to learn about this movement.  What I read and listened to would not lead me to the conclusion that this is a "cult" but the teachings I looked into do not line up with my interpretation of Scripture.
Again, I just "scratched the surface".  I saw no doctrinal statement that I could read to learn about their position on what I would call the "fundamentals" (salvation, inspiration of scripture, virgin birth of Christ, etc.).  I did read on the website that they don't consider themselves to be a "church", but rather a ministry of helps for the church.
