Baptists/QUESTION YOU DID NOT UNDERSTAND

Question
QUESTION REWORDED:

Are Baptists aware of God's plan for the ages of time as found in a literally translated Bible?

Mistranslation of the Greek word "aion" is a master stroke of diabolical genius. Perhaps no other word erroneously translated, could more effectively pervert man’s image of God and cause such widespread confusion in the church. Because the understanding of the eons and Gods purpose in them has been lost, the church is divided on such important teachings as man's destiny, grace, election, salvation, security of the believer, judgment and other issues. The following work by Joseph E. Kirk is offered in the hope that the serious seeker after scriptural truth will be aided in his quest.

Answer
Blessings and thank you for your question.

Baptists are aware of the argument of your position.  Honestly, it is considered a heresy.  We do not come to this position based on a "bad translation" but rather what we believe the Greek says.  We also see that the Bible teaches an eternal punishment for those who do not believe.  It would be great if God in His mercy would forgive everyone, but we do not believe that to be the case.

I could give you the standard theological and Biblical arguments against your position but I believe you have heard them all before.

We will have to agree to disagree.

May the Lord Bless you Richly.
