Baptists/Children's communion

Question
Can a deacon deny giving communion to a young child?

Answer
Each local Baptist congregation decides who will, and who will not, receive communion. The differences among local congregations are great, ranging from only allow adult members of that given church to take communion, to allowing everyone in attendance to take communion (regardless of age and faith affiliation). So, to answer your question, a deacon can deny giving communion to a young child, but if his action does not express the collective will of his congregation, he may or may not be allowed to do so again in the future.
