Rev, do you in any way recognize the effect that high baptisms and church politics are related.  where i feel that the higher the number of baptisms the church has absorbed the higher the likelihood of the church having petty church politics because most probably this people were not well instructed before their baptism especially if they were converted as a result of an evangelistic campaign.  whats your view.

Whenever new people join the fellowship of church, they rarely know how to submit to authority and often come in with very secular views.  I know that the larger a church becomes, the more likely they are to have the petty disagreements you refer too.   I think when you bring in a lot of people at a time, then you must gaurd agaist this very thing.  

My advice is to do what I have done many times and consolidate decision making in the church.  We have an elder board with makes most of the decisions of the church.   The body only meets for business meetings 3 times a year.  The less decision making the overall church has, the less likely they are to have petty problems that will divide them.
