Does the Bible say if having an erection is sinful?

Hi Mike,

Thank you for this honest and open question.   An erection is a natural bodily function.  We are not told that it is sin.  It can happen with a simple change of blood flow in the body.  Now we are told that we can control what we think.  We should strive to keep our thoughts in control.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)  5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
