Hello. I was wondering about what to do in a situation involving a dishonest church leader. The minister of the church that I am involved with was brought up on charges involving possibly assulting a flight attendent. However, she is denying any wrongdoing and is rude to other members of the church as well. Should I quit and find another church?

I had a wise old Pastor who once told me that if someone isn't accusing you of something, then you aren't a threat to Satan or his kingdom.  Now I have no idea whether this minister is guilty or not.  But, if she says she is innocent, then for now, take her at her word.  I have been falsely accused several times and I know what it is like to go through that.

As far as being rude, well all of us have those days.  That doesn't excuse the behavior.  But if this person isn't usually rude, then call it a bad choice and let it go.  

Now after a period of time, if you still feel you cannot trust her or do not believe her then move on to another church.  In the mean time, make a pledge to God to pray for her several times a day.  God may use that time to soften your heart, convict hers and maybe show you something you haven't seen in her before.
