QuestionI have been reading your responses to your last few questions, and I believe you are mistaken on a few points. Please view my site:

Answer I have already answered your question. The biblical Lord's Supper is symbolic in that the Bread represents Christ's body and the cup represents His shed blood for the remission of sins. When a person by faith receives Jesus Christ as their Savior all their sins, past, present and future are forgiven, they are indwelled by the Holy Spirt, become the children of God and receive eternal life.
The Roman Catholic Eucharist has Christ being sacrificed every time they follow this practice. God's word says "By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ ONCE FOR ALL." (Hebrews 10:10)
God plainly states "For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: FOR THIS HE DID ONCE, WHEN HE OFFERED UP HIMSELF."(Hebrews 7:26-27)
Further God says, "But this man, AFTER HE HAD OFFERED ONE SACRIFICE FOR SINS FOREVER, sat down the right hand of God" (Hebrews 10:12)
Jesus said, in 1 Corinthians 11:24-25...". . .do this in remembrance of me." In verse 26 Paul records "For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, YE DO SHEW the Lord's death till he come." (1 Corinthians 11:26)
The Lord's Supper is not a sacrament and has no saving properties. God gift of grace is given to those who by faith receive it as Ephesians 2:8-9 plainly state. The Lord's Supper is to SHOW which means as a symbol, of Christ's sacrifice for sin to remind believers He will return.
There is no ONE WORD to say the New Testament teaches the "real presence" of the Lord's body in elements of the Lord's Supper.
Sir, if you want to follow the teaching of men that is your privilege to do so, but I will follow God's word. Eating the flesh of an animal or of a human flesh in pagan religions is practiced by pagan religions. The participants believed they are taking the spirit or strength of the animal or person. Thus they receive spiritual benefit from the eating the flesh of another living being. It was practiced by pagans around the globe and in some places still is done. It was never a Christian practice, but rather mystical practices by pagans.
As to your quoting those of the 2nd century. There has a long list of heretics in Christ day and since who distorted God's word. But a true biblical believer gets his faith from God's word alone and not the uninspired writings of confused men. It even took the RCC 1600 years fully accept there modern practice.
My sins were forgiven completely the day I believed and put my faith alone in Jesus Christ. As a child of God, an joint heir of Jesus Christ I know that if I died this moment I would be in the Lord's presence as 2 Corinthians 5:1-8 promises. I do not have to take the Mass or Eucharist to have my sins forgiven. Jesus took care of that "once for all" on the day He arose from the grave. Further I do not need any church or priest to intercede between me and my God and Savior.
Read what God says, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:12-16)
Sir, who do you believe? Man or God.
