Question
Hello. I have a bit of a problem. I live with my mom and sister and many times my mom demands that I read my sister's horoscope to her to make her stop asking. I really believe anything to do with the occult is wrong. Even when i tried to remove the offensive things from the house they prevented me. What can I do?

Answer
Blessings and thank you for your question.

Horoscopes and Astrology in general are sinful.  The Bible is quite clear that any form of future telling outside of God's prophets is sinful.

Now, I don't know how old you are so I need to answer this in two ways.

First if you are NOT an adult, then do what your mother asks.  Respectfully explain to your mother why this bothers you.  But do what your mother asks.  The Bible tells us that a child should honor his parents.  God will honor you when you honor them.

If you are an adult, then respectfully explain why you cannot do this.  Tell her you love her and respect her, but that what she is asking you to do goes against your faith.  Choose not to let this turn into an argument.

May the Lord bless you richly.
