Question
Hello. I confessed Jesus as Lord about a year ago. However, being that I live at home and don't know how to drive yet I have not been able to fellowship with others and I'm worried that because of this I'm not saved. Also, even though someone has confessed Jesus will they still end up losing thier salvation because of sin?

Answer
Darlene, thank you for your question. I am glad that you have confessed Jesus as Your Savior and Lord, but because you do not drive should not keep you from worshipping with fellow believers. Find a Baptist church near your home, and call the church office that you do not drive and ask them if someone will pick you up and bring you to church. They should not mind at all picking you up. You need the feeding upon the Word and fellowship of other believes.

If one is truly saved and born again by the blood of the Lamb, they can not loose their salvation. John 10:28 states "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand."

Darlene, there is no reason why you should not know how to drive. Hurry up and get your license. If you are disabled there are shutttles for disabled people that will take them to church also.

What you can do right now is mediate and read the Word of God everyday, pray for yourself and others, and ask God to help you in your situation. But not having a drivers license should not keep you from worshipping with other believers.

My prayers are with you.

Expertise

I welcome questions that deal with theological issues, relationship issues, church history, world religions, current events from a Christian worldview, "gray areas" that are present today, church growth movements, false prophets, spiritual abuse issues, end time events, prophecy, medical ethical issues, hermeneutical questions, and how Israel fits into God's economy today. I will answer all questions in a grammatical/historical normative interpretation of God's Word. If I can not answer a question, I will do the research and find the answer if available. If you are looking for a liberal theological answer or agrument, do not ask. I am not an expert on church planting or evangelism.
