Question
My husband has had problems sleeping, last night he went to sleep and he woke up but he couldn't move, talk or anything. He tried to call for me but couldn't then he threw his arm and it woke me up and he then came out of it. He felt like something had control of his body. Later he fell back asleep and i sat up watching tv, he asked if i would turn it off so i did and went to sleep, seconds later after i turned the tv off and we fell asleep, he started moaning loudly like he was trying to say something but couldn't then he yelled finally we jumped up, he said that he could hear noises like a straw scraping in a cup, like a plastic lid. Can you please tell us what you think ,he's never had anything happen like this to him. Thank you

Answer
Hi Rebecca,

Thanks for this interesting question.  As you know I am not a doctor.  I cannot speak to the possible physical conditions that this may indicate.  I can tell you that I have known of a few people who carry heavy loads of stress to have episodes of very distrubing dreams with vivid acting out.  I have experienced this a few times in my life as well.

If you are wondering if this some kind of a demonic attack, there is nothing in your account that points to this specifically.  If he has opened a door by playing with witchcraft or if he is living actively in unconfessed unrepentant sin, then perhaps he is vulnerable to this kind of attact.

He should read scriptures before bed and pray.  Dedicate his treams to the Lord and ask the Blood of Jesus to put a hedge about Him to protect him from the attacks of the forces of darkness.  Also perhaps it would do him some good to fall asleep to some soothing Christian music with Biblical lyrics to put his thoughts into captivity and focus on the good stuff before bed.

Philippians 4:8
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)  5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.

I hope that this will help you.
