Question
Dear Pastor Cooper, I pastor a small Church here in New Zealand, and have a few people in my Church who consistently Go hiking or do other activities on Sundays instead of attending Church.
I have often spoken to them about it but they like to justify what they are doing, so I have been preparing to address this matter with them publicly. I was searching the web for other Pastors points of view, experience and input on the matter when I came across your helpful article about the importance Church attendance.
I felt like your article (booklet) had the substance of the things I would like to say to my congregation, so I would like your permission to e-mail a shortened version of the article to my Church members to read, and maybe print a few copies for the people in our Church who are not on the Internet.
By having my whole Church read the article I will have them all on the same page so to speak, If subsequently I do need to raise the matter publicly.
I do not intend using the article outside the Church that I pastor.
