Question
my daughter must write a 10 pg paper on freewill for college.I am helping her do some research. As she has has progressed she has asked the question..can a person who has died and gone to heaven use their free will and choose not to want to be there any longer? If so,how? If not, what is different about them in heaven that they did not have on earth? Do you have any thoughts on this?

Answer
Hi Sheryl,
Thank you for your question.   The answer is that once a person believes in Jesus Christ as their Savior, they are "born again" which means they are spiritually reborn and eternally have the nature of God.   Believers are the sons and daughters of God and receive eternal life.  I can assure you that no believer who dies and goes to heaven would want to be any where else.  After death there are only two places that people go and that is to heaven or hell.  No one would want to give up the joys and peace of heaven and being with our God and creator and choose to go to hell.
The Bible does not say anything about believers using their free wills in heave.  But having the nature of God himself and the wisdom and truth of God, they would not use their wills to do anything contrary to God or that was not righteous, meaning right.   There will be no sin in heaven and so no one would make a wrong decision.
Hope this helps.   If you have further questions or comments please write.
