Baptists/If not Baptist

Question
I was raised Baptist, but have been very upset with most Baptist being so judgmental.  If you couldn't be Baptist, what would be the next 1 or 2 denominations closest to being Baptist?

Hi Sherri,

Thank you for this question, but it does cause me some concern. What has caused you to think that most Baptists are so judgemental, as I have never experienced this at all. Perhaps you have had bad experiences with the leaders or the fellowship of your church.

We are not here to judge, ony our Lord can do that. We are taught and practise forgiveness.
Perhaps you should look into changing to another Baptist church, before you decide to change denomination, because I believe trhis to be a serious decision to make.

I am a Baptist in the UK and albeit I come across the odd judgemental person, I do not find many to be that way.

If I were to change denomination I would change to Methodist only and nothing else.

I am am a Deacon and secretary of my church, and also spend lots of time now also ministering to people in old folks homes as well as other outreach work.

I have won a National award for working with and supporting sick people.

Past/Present Clients
I do not call them clients, they are people in need of the love of God and of people. I have mentored many young people, including those that are in our local prison, to hopefully live an honest and Christian life.
