Question
Hello. I read (in hebrews if I remember correctly) that if somoene sins willfully then there remains no sacrifice for sin. I also read about being sealed until the day of redemption. Can you help?

Answer
Cloey:
    Thank you for your question.
Hebrews 10:26 is the first verse to which you referred:  "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,".  The verse simply states that Christ died for our sins once and for all.  If it were possible to "lose our salvation" because we sinned--even knowingly and blatantly--it would be impossible to be saved again because Christ made only one sacrifice for sin.  Christ died only once and we need only trust Christ for salvation once.  That does not mean that we will not sin after we're saved, only that we needn't get saved again.
The other verse is Ephesians 4:30:  "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption."  This verse teaches that once we are saved the Holy Spirit will keep us in His care until Christ takes us to Heaven.  When you purchase something you may put down a deposit or downpayment on it until you can pick it up or take full possession of it.  That's what the Holy Spirit does when we trust Christ for salvation.  He "holds" us until Christ returns to take us to Heaven and take full possession, so to speak.
    Hope this helps, Cloey.
