Baptists/end of the age

Question
Hello. I have heard some people talking that say that the end of the age is a past event. That it already happened. I don't know much about it but I was wondering if it is a past or future event.

Answer
Hello Cloey,
Thank you for your question. It depends what is meant by the end of the age. The age or time of the Old Covenant (of law) came to an end in Jesus and we are the people of the New Covenant (of grace). If, however, people are suggesting that somehow Jesus has already returned and we have not noticed then they are clearly wrong as the bible is very clear that when He returns every eye will see and tongue confess that He is Lord. Christians may differ about issues regarding the rapture and the millennium but that the end of the age will see the return of the Lord and the final judgement is crystal clear from the bible.
If by the end of the age people mean this end time scenario then we are still waiting and are called to be ready for His coming.
Without a clearer understanding of what the people you refer to mean by the end of the age I cannot comment and further but would be happy to given more information.
May God bless you.
Stuart Woodward.
