Baptists/struggles with sin

Question
Hello. I and a lot of people I know who have not been christians for long have had a common question. If one still has struggles with sin, does that mean that they are not saved?

Answer
Hi Rose,

Many people ask me this question.

We all struggle with sin, we are all human beings and will always be tempted to sin, this temptation is put there by Satan the great deceiver.

If we truely believe from our hearts that we are all sinners and cannot save ourselves, and that Jesus died on the cross and paid the full price for our sins and obtained eternal life for us through His death, then we are all saved.

If we sin then we ask for forgiveness and we repent, but remember that God does not want those that think they are free from sin, because many are unsaved believers.
We have to conquor sin, but this is easier said than done, because we are all sinners at times.

Remember we are saved by faith alone, put your faith in and talk to the Lord, He will know you are struggling, but He will also know that you are human and that you recognise your sins and that you want to repent.

Have faith and do not give up, and you will be fine.

Believe you me, the Christian path can certtainly be a rocky one, it is sometimes like driving in a fog, you keep taking the wrong path, but you will find that the fog will eventually clear, and your strength in faith in the Lord and yourself will get stronger and and stronger.

I hope this helps, just remember there are many struggling, that is when Satan see's us at our most vulnerable!

Stay in faith.

Regards and God Bless

Expertise

I can answer most questions on the subject of the Baptist/Christian faith. I am an active member of a Baptist Church Fellowship. I study the Bible and the Scriptures every day and have no problem talking to people about this. I am more than happy to answer the Lord's calling and help and support all people that are in need. I believe that is now my role in life.

Experience

Some times people go the wrong way in life because they have been let down by those that are close to them. It is all about trust, compassion and support. I carry out a lot of outreach work, so I know how important these things are to be able to reach people. I have worked with drug addicts and the homeless, as well as young people who have lost their way in life or are in prison.

Past/Present Clients
I do not call them clients, they are people in need of the love of God and of people. I have mentored many young people, including those that are in our local prison, to hopefully live an honest and Christian life.
