Question
It's my understanding from reading some of the Q&As on this site that IFBs are against having "contemporary music" in church.

My questions is, why?

What makes a brief decade or two during the mid-twentieth century the "best" time for music. Why call that "traditional" when it's only a temporal period. Why not advocate only music from the 1750s or the 300s?
