While the concern has existed for years, women pastors and evangelists preaching to ALL still seems to be an issue in the various Baptist communities. Women preaching and teaching to only women only addresses serving a part of God's children.

Is this posture Scriptural?

Hi BB,

Thank you for this great question.  Let us address this very simply.  I am glad for the wording of this question.  You did not ask me my opinion, you asked what was scriptural.  My thoughts are irrelevant.

1.  ALL of the Bible is inspired or God Breathed.

2 Timothy 3:16 (AV)
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:


Some discount the writings of Paul saying that he hated women... but his writings are scripture, therefore you have to follow what God's word says.

2.  There is a strict and simple prohibition against women leading or teaching men.

1 Timothy 2:11–14 (AV)
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.


There it is... it is impossible for a woman to preach to men and not violate that scripture.
