Baptists/fighting Christ

I understand that armies will fight Christ when he returns. Will they know it is Christ or will they think it is another nation or some unknown something or someone? Thank you.

Howdy, Ray! When He comes back it does seem that He reveals Himself to the Jewish population as their Messiah according to the prophecy of Zechariah and also in Revelation.

Zech 12:10-11

10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. KJV

Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. KJV

He also manifests Himself to the nations that He is Jesus Christ as they know they are experiencing the wrath of the Lamb.

Rev 6:15-17

15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? KJV

They may return fire at first thinking there is another invasion force of some sort, but it will know less than a second that it is Him.  Thanks for a great question!   May God richkly bless you as you seek Him and His will through the Word!

I have ministered in several states since my conversion in 1975. I participate in many forums and have written two books. I recently changed to Assembly of God, but after 40 years, I can still answer questions about Baptists and doctrinal issues that are common to many sects.
