Question
A person once said to me "without acts, we won't go to heaven."  Now I know that its our faith that Jesus died for our sins is what lets us into heaven. My question is this, is there a place in the bible that says without acts we cant get into heaven?  Could this be referring to Acts 16:31?

Answer
Blessings and thank you for your question.

I don't really understand why this person said this.  I don't know the context either.  I guess you could say that without Acts, there would have been no Pentecost or no filling of the Holy Spirit.  But Acts is just a recording of events that took place in the life of Paul and the early church.  It is scripture, but it is the teaching of Jesus that we can't do without.  Salvation, grace, love, law, Holy  Spirit, and the Father are all in the Gospels.

Acts 16:31 Paul was just repeating to the jailers how to be saved.
