Hi, just have a few queries.
Why did the serpent go for Eve first and not Adam?
If a snake came up to you and started talking wouldn't that freak you out a bit? wouldn't eve been a bit scared at first? why didn't she tell adam,"hey i've found a talking snake!".
Was the serpent possessed or did it have the power of speech? and why the serpent and not another animal?
If Adam refused to eat the fruit that eve gave him, then only she would have been banished from eden. now adam being alone again, would god have had to create another woman or what do you think might have happened?

  Thanks for your question.   I answered it 4 days ago, but for some reason it was not posted.   I am not sure what the problem is by email from AllExperts is not getting through. I have emailed them several times about this,but it continues to happen.

Answer: Hi Dimitre,
   The Bible does not say what Satan tempted Eve instead of Adam.  2 Corinthians 11:3 and 1 Timothy 2:13 refer to Eve being tempted.   It seems she was more guilible and suceptible to being tempted.   The passage in 1 Timothy 2 says "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety." (1 Timothy 2:12-15)  The context is instruction to women on not usurping authority over the man.

   The serpent was possessed by Satan.  God created woman to be a man's helper, but it was the man who was given the responsibility to provide for his wife and family.   Eve was not submissive to Adam and should have gone to him when the serpent tempted her with become a god.   Animals may have had the power of speech before Adam and Eve sinned and brought a curse upon the earth.

    We cannot be sure why Adam took the forbibben fruit.   Some think he loved Eve and did not want to be separated from her.   God said that if they ate the fruit they woud die, so maybe he did not want to see her lose her life.    We cannot be sure about this, but this seems logical.
