Baptists/Attendance and inclusion in upcoming dedication of child

Question
My soon-to-be husband wants me to attend his new grandchild's dedication to his son's church. During the ceremony all the child's grandparents will be asked to stand.  Should I be included when they stand?  The maternal grandmother has remarried and I assume her husband will stand with her. Thank you

Answer
Dear Karen,
With what you've mentioned, I would recommend that you share your feelings about the situation with your fiancé, then go along with whatever he and his son want you to do.
The Bible obviously doesn't encourage divorce and remarriage, but I don't know how to untangle the confusion of broken families.  God is faithful to lead anyone willing to trust His Word, at any point, anytime.
May we fulfill our created purpose of reflecting His glory, in all our unique situations!
   Love,
   Priscilla

Expertise

I have time for you. The Bible has been my guiding light for most of the 56 years of my life. My missionary parents in Brazil kindled a love for God`s Word by their example and their love for truth. The Lord has blessed my husband and me with responsible, independent children who love and serve the Lord and are our best friends. I would enjoy discussing any subject or problem from a Biblical perspective.

Experience

I help lead music in a small Southern Baptist Church. Although I rarely have the opportunity to play, I do play the bass guitar, drums, tambourine, harmonica and piano. I like Southern Gospel and praise choruses, but only know by heart the words from the hymnal, and my vocal range is half an octave lower than most music is written, but fortunately my husband transposes well and also plays by ear.
