Question
Hello,
My question is how soon after one is saved should he or she be Baptized? I was saved in a small church and it was a week or 2 weeks afterward that I was Baptized. Is that ok or was that to long?  Thank you, Dennis

Answer
Dear Dennis,

Greetings! This is Elder Greg Madden from All Experts.  Earlier this year you asked a question of me in the Baptist category. Because of extending circumstances I was removed from this category. Those situations have been resolved, and I am now reinstated in this category. If there is any way that I could be of further assistance to you please let me know.

Thanks again, and God bless!

Dennis,

Christian greetings! Please accept my sincerest apology for such a late reply. I have been so busy with work, school, family, church, ect..

Yes, it is alright that it was a couple of weeks before you received water baptism. Though the Bible does show us that it is an vitally important command of the Lord to be obeyed as soon as possible after receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In other words, as soon as one is able to be baptized, then one should not hesitate to be. The important thing is that you are now saved! Now it is your responsibility to grow in the Word of God, and to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I have listed my personal ministry web site below that has several pages that will help you do in your walk with Christ.

Dennis, please let me know if this helps, or if you have any further questions.

Experience

I attended a fundamental independent Baptist church for many years. While attending the church I learned the doctrines and beliefs of the Baptist movement. I now attend an independent Pentecostal church. I have served there as an Elder for fourteen years. I minister in song with the choir and worship team. I am also the new member’s class coordinator, men's ministry director, and the Harvest Riders motorcycle ministry president.
In 1993 the Lord called me to "...preach the Gospel where ever I open the door..." I have had the privilege of ministering God's Word to churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. In those meetings we have seen the Lord save, heal, deliver, and fill people will His Spirit.

Organizations
I am ordained through Harvest Church, and with the World Harvest Ministerial Fellowship. I also am a licensed minister with the State of Oklahoma.

Education/Credentials
I am currently enrolled with the Ames Bible College.
