I'm trying to prove to a cousin that Jesus wants us to be in church.
Help!!

Matt 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. (KJV)

If God is in the midst of two or three just think what more blessing there is with more people.

Go through the book of Acts.   They were meeting DAILY to study the Word.  

Heb 10:23-25
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (KJV)

Look how we have messed up over the years.  They met daily in the Book of Acts and now we have trouble meeting for 4 hours (SS, AM, PM and Wed)a week on two days. We are closer to the Rapture than they were so we should be meeting more, not less.

Did Jesus pick His disciples/apostles?  Did He by the Holy Spirit have them write the New Testament?  Yes, He did so we have loads of evidence through the NT to show people in worship and churches being saluted and taught.  But even without all that the Hebrew passage clinches it that we are supposed to be in Church whenever the doors are open to learn and exhort/encourage one another so that we will stay strong and faithful until Jesus returns.
