should meetings be held after serving communion?

Hi Brenda,

Thanks for this great question.  As you may know, one of the Baptist Distinctives is the Autonomy of the local church.  Each church is free to make decisions like that on their own.  The short answer to your question is, if your pastor has decided to have a meeting after or before communion, then it is right for that church.  He is one in charge before God.

Hebrews 13:17
17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
