Question
Priscilla!

Hi!  I have some questions and a few ideas I wanted some help on, if you wouldn't mind.

As of recent Global Climate Change has been taking place and I know it says in the Bible that near the end of times the seas will rise and there will be great storms (paraphrasing). Do you think Global Warming is what is described in the Bible?

Also, recently Russian President Vladimir Putin placed a Russian flag underneathe the ice at the North Pole signifying them as the "Enemy from the North" as described in Revelations. The Enemy from the north that shall attack Israel. Putin also has become extremely friendly with China, also described in the Bible as the Enemy from the North will conspire with Asia to attack Israel. I also believe this is in Revelations. Do you think this is an accurate assumption that Russia and China are "The Enemy from the North and Asia?"
Note:  Two of the Cities described in the Bible as where the Armies of the North Come from have been Geographically located as 2 modern day russian cities. I believe the are St. Petersburg and Moscow.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has also said that Israel must be destroyed, signifying the Enemy from the South as described I believe in Revelations as well. Accurate assumption do you think?

Most Importantly...
I think I have identifyied the Anti-Christ, no lie.

New French Primeminister Dominique de Villepin has stated that he would like to implement a French National I.D. Card. Where, if an individual does not take this said I.D. card he or she will not be able to do the following:
Buy a Car or Home
Have a Bank Account
Buy Food
Or Get a Job
This is what the Anti-Christ is to do yes?
Also, the EU is a sign of the Anti-Christ. One currency, the Euro, that is also in the Bible.  It also says in the Bible that when Rome rises again that is a sign that the end is coming and the EU was formed from the Treaty of Rome. The French Prime Minister is also calling for 7 years of peace in Europe and Africa and the Middle East...what do you think of this?
Thank-You for your time and sorry for the long question!
Brandon

Answer
Dear Brandon,
Thanks for writing.  Your ideas have a lot of merit.  I agree that Russia, China, and Iran are certainly in place for Revelation to unfold.  I don't think the science is there for global warming as the media portrays it, but the credibility given global warming minus scientific evidence, in itself points to believing the end time lie.(II Thess.2:11)
This article, www.ianpaisley.org/article.asp?ArtKey=666 gives some startling info from 1999.  Ian Paisley recently (May 2007) became the First Minister of Northern Ireland. (I believe that's like our president.), so he is very credible.  I enjoyed reading about his standards based on the Bible, on the following website.  This is from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Paisley  Paisley was elected one of Northern Ireland's three Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) at the first elections to the Brussels and Strasbourg-based European Parliament in 1979, holding a rare, triple mandate, as an MEP, an MP, and a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA).  He easily retained his seat in every European election until he stood down in 2004, receiving the highest popular vote of any British MEP
Anyway, these events around us should spur us to open our hearts and minds more to God's concerns, so we use what little time left we have wisely, according to His plan for our unique, individual opportunities.
   Shine for Him!

I have time for you. The Bible has been my guiding light for most of the 56 years of my life. My missionary parents in Brazil kindled a love for God`s Word by their example and their love for truth. The Lord has blessed my husband and me with responsible, independent children who love and serve the Lord and are our best friends. I would enjoy discussing any subject or problem from a Biblical perspective.

Experience

I help lead music in a small Southern Baptist Church. Although I rarely have the opportunity to play, I do play the bass guitar, drums, tambourine, harmonica and piano. I like Southern Gospel and praise choruses, but only know by heart the words from the hymnal, and my vocal range is half an octave lower than most music is written, but fortunately my husband transposes well and also plays by ear.
