QuestionHello Rev. Woods,
According to your theology,I have a question reguarding the doctrine of the trinity:
1)Do you believe that Jesus is God ? (we know His name)
2)Do you believe the Father is God ?(what name do we address Him by ? Yaweh ? Jehovah ?)
3)Do you believe the Holy Ghost is God ?(what's His name ?)
We know from scipture that God spoke, The Father spoke,
4)And we know the Son (Jesus) spoke, Where did the Holy Ghost ever speak by Himself that can note Him as a separate,co-equal, co-existant person ?
5)What did the Holy Ghost do on His own as far as deeds or actions other than moving upon or indwelling believers ?
6)Who is Jesus' Father ?/What's His name ?
AnswerBlessings and thank you for your question:
1. Do I believe Jesus is God. Yes. In John 10:30 Jesus said, "I and the Father are one.” His Father is Yaweh.
2. Do I believe the Father is God. Yes. He called himself "I am" in Exodus 3:14. The Hebrew word that God called himself was YWH or Yaweh. Because God commanded that His name not be taken in vain, most Jews to this day will not say or even write God's name. Our modern Bibles often say LORD in all caps instead of translating the name.
3. DO I believe the Holy Ghost is God? Yes I believe the Holy Spirit is God. The Holy Spirit can be seen in Genesis 1:2.
