Baptists/Hermeneutics Assignment

Question
I have 2 assignments in my Hermeneutics 301 class:  #1-Write a 6-8 page paper on an introduction to a book of the OT.  Contents: Authorship, date, occasion and purpose of the book, characteristics of the content and literary style and an outline of the book.  Assignment #2-An exegetical interpretation of a passage from the book on which the introductory paper #1 was done.  Contents: Explain the context, interpret key words, explain pertinent grammar points and discuss the theological meaning. (This does not include practical, devotional or sermonic application or development).  Sources: Technical, non-devotional exegetical commentaries, other interpretive volumes, etc.

My professor maintains that my being able to interpret his assignment instructions is an important part of earning a high grade.
I am really not sure where to begin, and then what to do to write an acceptable paper.  Can you help?

Thank you, David.

Answer
David,
I have a course on my web site http://bible-truth.org/ExpositoryBibleStudy.html which will go step by step in teaching you do what your professor is requiring. It will take a little work, but that is what college is all about...learning.
You will find examples in the course which will guide you.
Even the resources needed to write the paper are explained.
By the way....I wrote this course after taking my first course in expository Bible study in a heremenuetics class...!    Follow it and get an A+
