Question
I am a Christian who has doubts at times, but I want to be filled with faith. How should I know from biblical and scientific proof that Jesus the Lord was Lord and not like Mohammed the Prophet is to Muslims.
Also, who do Catholics believe Mohammed was and what do we believe his role for God was? and How should I over come my doubts.

Mike, I am sure that all Christians from time to time have doubts. God understands sincere doubts and does not condemn them anymore than He did Thomas' doubts.   

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (KJV)

If you could put God under a microscope you would not need faith for you would have sight.   

Faith is trust and trust is what God wanted in the Garden.  Adam and Eve lost their trust and depended on what they thought they saw and that is why we are in the mess we are now.

http://www.apologeticspress.org/modules.php?name=Read&cat=13&itemid=2680 can give you some science for the Word being true but not be absolute conclusive in all things because while God gives us Creation, per Romans 1, as a scientific proof of His existence He leaves enough holes for us so that we have to have faith/trust in His Word.

I don't endorse everything on the following site but they list all the prophecies fulfilled by Jesus and it is mathmetically or scientifically impossible if He was not God.

Most Catholics would hold that Mohammed was a false prophet as do I.  He even wondered if he was being deceived by a demon, but his wife said that the prophecies were divine. He was a madman, murderer, child molester and many other things.  Jesus was nothing like him.

Jesus claimed to be God.  If He was not then He is a liar or a nut case and would be as bad as Mohammed.

Do you have any specific doubts or just doubt in general?  The sites I have given you will help you some intellectually, but faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.  Study the Word and ask Christ through the Holy Spirit to enlighten you.  One man told Christ, "Lord, I believe.  Help thou, my unbelief."  That might be a good prayer for you as well.

Just do some light study of Ezekiel, Daniel, Matthew 24, the Timothys, Thessalonians and Revelation and you can see how it is all coming together.

HOW CAN I KNOW THAT CHRIST IS THE RIGHT ONE?

    "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved." Romans 10:13

    "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, BLASPHEMERS, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy," II Tim: 2:1,2 Paul accurately describes today's society.  All the mentioned characteristics fulfill prophecy and give validity to the claim that the Bible is God's Word and the Bible says that Jesus is THE Son of God.
    The predication of men being blasphemers is very significant.
The definition of blasphemy is the act of insulting God or showing contempt for or lack of reverence for God; also, claiming the attributes of deity or having irreverence toward something considered sacred or inviolable.
    Who do people curse and swear by?  GOD and JESUS CHRIST! Who do many cultists claim to be?  JESUS CHRIST!  What name is sacred to many, and yet, most people show little reverence to it?  JESUS CHRIST!
    I have been in other countries and have not found people using the name of Buddha or Allah in vain, or claiming to be them.  One would be executed!  Even in those countries, the most popular curse is JESUS CHRIST! By their own lips they confirm the deity of Christ, because God said in the end times, men would be blasphemers of GOD and today they blaspheme no one else as CHRIST is blasphemed!  They mock Him now, as they did on the Cross, nearly two thousand years ago.
    There is no doubt that JESUS is THE Christ, THE SON OF GOD. If after reading this, you will reject Christ, you fulfill other verses in the Bible. "But if our Gospel be HID, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them that believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of CHRIST, who is THE image of GOD, should shine unto them (II Corinthians 4:3,4).
    Why not accept THE Way and THE Truth and be saved from sin and Hell?  If you would like to be saved, use the following prayer as an example to tell God and His Son, Jesus, you want salvation! The words are not magical.  God looks on the heart and, not the lips.   Call out to Him, in your own way! You may call longer or louder than someone else. That is fine! Just call before it is too late!

               Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and that Your Son, Jesus
Christ, died and rose again to pay for my sins.  I want Him to be my King and
Saviour.  Please forgive me for my sins.  I want to turn from my sin and, with your help, to obey You.  Save me now, for Jesus' sake.  Thank You for saving me, Amen.
