QuestionHello Priscilla,
Yes it's me again,(got a couple more)surprized?
A couple of places in the bible,Jesus says "the father is not the judge,I am" then other places he says"I'm not here to judge"I know that the father & the son are one in the same(somehow). But,"he,who sent me"&"at the right hand of the father"are making clear distinctions.I understand that God's ways are beyond our ability to phathom, but,if you can,try to stop my head from spinning!!!!
Also, John 10;34 You are all gods? (don't get me wrong I'm NOT going off on a new age tangent, but is that where they're getting these thought's?
One more..... john 10;16-10;18 "other fields than this...."? I've read that angels or giants came to earth and...well....multiplied with earth's women.Again, not going on the wierdo's sentimental journey to nowhere!!! But doesn't that sound like there is more out there? If so,then is he saying that he will do the same for them?I just don't feel that in my heart to be true, but i'm trying to listen to what he is REALLY saying.I mean C'mon, didn't jesus say"if you had the faith, this mountain would get up and move....heal,do great things....Where are these people?Did he mean NOW? Are we NOT reading this right?
Ok,Ok,ok,that was more than a couple of questions!
I recently saw a map of the world, with all of the different religions color coded. The majority was christian, and (they say)that 87% of the U.S.A is christian. But,after asking more direct questions"was Jesus God?","is Jesus the ONLY way to heaven?"etc,..Then we are left with 8% of TRUE believers.....................SCARY!!!!!!
Well what are your thoughts on all of my current rants? Ha-ha! GOD Bless,Kevin
AnswerDear Kevin,
Good questions. The Trinity is outside of human comprehension, which is why He is God and we aren't, but we have some inkling with the multiplication principle that 1x1x1=1. The universe is actually a tri-universe of Space, Matter (energy), and Time, each permeating and representing the whole (not like the three sides of a triangle).
That Jesus was separated from the Father to be a part of His physical world, was not as drastic as His spiritual separation from the Father when He took our sins on Himself on the cross. God is everywhere (omnipresent) Psalm 139, so the terms you mention, "He who sent Me, and at the right hand of the Father" are describing what God is doing from our perspective and understanding, not from His point of view.
In John 10:34 Jesus quotes from Psalm 82:6. I think these verses refer to humans created perfect, but (Ps.82:7) destined to die because we have fallen like the prince (Satan) that fell. Jesus, however, did not sin, but did the works of the Father (John 10:37). The Creator lived the human life as He had created it to be lived, (which will only be possible when we choose God's Way, not our own way) so the Jews should have realized from the Scripture that He was unique.
The sheep not of this fold (John 10:16) which Jesus would have join the Jews into one fold with Him as the shepherd, are the Gentiles. Before Jesus paid for our sins, a person had to become a Jew and follow the laws to identify with the promised salvation to come. When Jesus fulfilled the law, everyone was able to accept salvation and follow the spirit of the law through the power of the Holy Spirit within. When the Jews heard that Cornelius, a Gentile, had spoken in tongues, they realized (Acts 11:18) "Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life."
Genesis 6:2-5 probably refers to fallen angels and human women having giant children who were very wicked. I think Noah's son, Ham, must have married a female descendent of a giant, which led to Goliath and other giants in Canaan (Ham's son and the place given to God's people, Israel).
As far as faith that moves mountains, it has to be faith in God, not faith in our faith or faith in what we want. God does powerful things, the most powerful being to change us spiritually.
Matthew 7:14 "few there be that find it." It is scary and sad that so many people won't let God be THEIR God. They won't trust Jesus Christ to be their Lord, their Boss, but "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" Romans 6:23
Keep studying and learning, as I want to do also. Your family also benefits from your love of the Truth. Give them my regards.
Sincerely,
Priscilla
