Question
I am busy reading Rick Warren's book - The Purpose Driven Life, and have enjoyed it tremendously. I told a friend about it and he warned me that it has New Age implications and gave me a book by Warren Smith - Deceived on Purpose.
I am now completely confused - kindly help

Hi Hank,
   I am sorry for the delay in answering your question.  I have tried repeated to open the AllExperts web page, but have been getting an error message.   I kept trying and this morning I was able to open the page.  This has happened before and they occasionally have a problem with their server.
   There is a really good article found at http://thebereancall.org/downloads/41774.aspx   Which is  a critique of The Purpose Driven Life, written by T.A. McMahon.   It is very well written and addresses the issues that make the TPDL a dangerous book to those who are not aware of the New Age and New Evangelical ideas it presents.    One of Satan's cleverest tricks is to mix truth with  error.   The book does have some good points which challenge Christians to live for Christ....but mixed with this truth is unbiblical teachings that easily can misdirect and mislead sincere but unsuspecting people.
