Question
will you send me a email on wine? i am teaching my sunday school class about not drinking. what I just read was very good.

Answer
Dear James,
I'm not sure what you've read already so I may be repeating.  I don't think there's anything more important than allowing Christ in us to rescue others from an eternity of suffering.
At this time in history, with high speed vehicles, any alcohol is dangerous.  Even if drinking wine never led to a car accident, does an association with alcohol result in a better or worse reputation to encourage a heavenly destination?
Jesus turning water into wine needs to be considered as a safer alternative to drinking water or other beverages before refrigeration or germs were discovered.
I'm not sure about the medical accuracy of this, but I have heard that some people are genetically predisposed to become addicted to alcohol no matter how little they try.
There are so many financial, relational, and spiritual disasters associated with alcohol, that it would be a shame to squander what little earth time and money we have on alcohol of any kind.
I Cor. 6:19-20 are good verses to consider.
   Hope this helps.

I have time for you. The Bible has been my guiding light for most of the 56 years of my life. My missionary parents in Brazil kindled a love for God`s Word by their example and their love for truth. The Lord has blessed my husband and me with responsible, independent children who love and serve the Lord and are our best friends. I would enjoy discussing any subject or problem from a Biblical perspective.

Experience

I help lead music in a small Southern Baptist Church. Although I rarely have the opportunity to play, I do play the bass guitar, drums, tambourine, harmonica and piano. I like Southern Gospel and praise choruses, but only know by heart the words from the hymnal, and my vocal range is half an octave lower than most music is written, but fortunately my husband transposes well and also plays by ear.
