Baptists - Repentence

Follow-Ups to Answer from Expert Pastor Don Carpenter

There is no Salvation apart from repentance. To come forward in a meeting in a state of soulish emotion of being "scared of God" not having true fear of God and saying a prayer, does not seal yourself from having to repent at some other point. One cannot say the sinners prayer and go out to live like twice the sons of hell. Repentance is a daily act. "If you endure till the end you will be saved." We have an earnest of the Holy Ghost, not salvation. "He comes with Salvation in His hand." We have sanctification. Not a one time act of emotion and a life excused from seeking God.
