QuestionSome references really is what I need.
I know where to find them concerning males, but are there any concerning women. I do not need anything concerning other deviant behavior, only lesbianism. I was asked this question and thought I knew where to find the answers, but I was wrong. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
AnswerHello Jim,
Thank you for your question. Specific biblical comments about lesbianism are rare. 1 Cor 6:9-11 & 1 Tim 1:8-11 both use terms that are equally applicable to females as to males. The only specific regarding women I can find is in Romans 1:18-32. Women who exchange their natural relations (in context with men) for unnatural ones with each other are listed as one of the causes of God's wrath against mankind. Some scholars have tried to suggest that the passage allows for natural sexual relationships between women but that flies in the face of the context of Paul's argument. No open minded person reading the passage could seriously doubt that Paul was condemning sexual relations between women.
I hope this is of some help to you.
Stuart Woodward.
