Baptists/pregnancy

Question
If you have had your tubes tied and you have sex before you are married and you know you are supposed to wait, what are the chances of you getting pregnant

Answer
I am afraid your question has little to do with Baptist belief per se, although Christians, including Baptist, discourage sex before marriage (as you no doubt know). As to your getting your tubes tied at such a young age, I would not think this is the best method of birth control; there are other, less drastic measures if you intend on having premarital sex (and I assume you know the options). But, yes, your chances of getting pregnant with your tubes tied would be quite low. Your chances of getting sexually-transmitted diseases would not be decreased, however.

You apparently already know what you should or should not do in regards to sexual activity. There are spiritual, psychological, emotional and health reasons to wait. But I doubt that preaching to you will do any good. Whatever choice you make, it will be your responsibility to deal with the consequences.
