Baptists/systematic

Question
My question is how Jesus is a personal savior if his death was for all of mankind. He died before I was even born. What's personal about that? His salvation is systematic is it not? Like the way a coupon or something is mailed out to "Resident" or "Occupant"? Thank you.

Answer
The Bible teaches that God, and hence Jesus, is all-knowing and omnipotent. Psalm 139 is a poem about how intimately God knows each and every person before he or she is ever born. Jesus chose to die for you specifically, and every other human individual created by God, out of love for you, before you were ever born. Eternity cannot be understood by our human finiteness.

I hope this helps.
