Question
My husband and I are looking for an adults only, all inclusive resort, what would you recommend? Also, how are the beaches and water? Is the water calm or does it tend to be on the rough side?

Answer
The Almond Beach Club & Spa is an adults-only all inclusive beachfront property on the West coast of Barbados. Do not confuse this property with Almond Beach Village Resort, which is for families.

The property has beautiful landscaping, three swimming pools, two restaurants and caters to singles, couples and honeymooners. The hotel is within walking distance to Holetown's shops, restaurants & beach bars.

Barbados does not have that many all inclusives, and this is the only all inclusive for adults. Turtle Beach is an all inclusive on the South Coast, and part of the Elegant Hotel Group, but they are not adults only.

Also there are fine properties on the island that offer all inclusive as an option in your package such as Crystal Cove.  

The reason Barbados does not offer many all inclusives is that the island is known for fine world class dining, and offers the most variety of restaurants in the Caribbean.

The water on the West Coast is very calm, the South Coast waters have a little more surf, but there are nice coves that offer calm water. The South East coast has undertows and high surf.

The East coast is on the Atlantic Sea side, and swimming is not recommended on this side of the island. The West coast and South coasts are on the Caribbean Sea side. If calm water is what you desire, I would suggest the West coast of the island.
